I can't remember the last time I was so intrigued by an eye product! Remember my blog about Jelly Pong Pong's Egg Confetti, those cute little eggs filled with fruity, colorful bath powder that you crack into the tub? Well, that's nothing compared to JPP's Venus Magical Pearls, a gorgeous, multipurpose product that really lives up to its "magical" moniker.
First of all, how gorgeous is this packaging? The pearls come in a pod-like container inside of what looks like a miniature hat box! When you unscrew the cap on the container, you have this mound of glistening cosmetic caviar to contend with - just swirl your fingers or a fluffy brush over them and you have a pretty highlighter, bronzer or eye shadow (depending on the shade you choose and where you want to wear it). And then - and this is the best part, I think - take one of the pearls, crush it open, and reveal the second color inside!
This color can also be used anywhere, although the rich, jewel-like shades indicate that it will probably work best as an eyeshadow. I also love the tip about combining both shades to create a third shade! So much variety in such a charming little package. The pearls pictured above are "Goddess Skin," with a Hot Bronze outer coating over a Gilded Olive core, but there are four other shades available as well: Ambrosia (Ivory Sunset outer/Celestial Peach inner), Aurora (Gossamer Highlight outer/Rich Turquoise inner), Immortal (Onyx Black outer/Surreal Pink inner) and Worship (Pure Gold outer/African Maroon inner). What's not to love?
