We saw LC in her short jean shorts yesterday, today we add Christina Ricci's jean shorts to the mix and even the girls on Gossip Girl are getting in on the jean short trend while shooting in New York. And once the Gossip kids don a fashion trend on their show, it pretty much becomes a fashion trend everywhere. There is something laid-back, cool and classic about jean shorts, but if they aren't done right they can look sloppy.
Adding jean shorts to a more structured top brings out the casual/cool vibe. I love the way Christina paired her pair with a button down top and metallic sandals. LC is an example of jean shorts gone wrong. If you have a sloppy top, the whole look goes that way. It's a good thing she has those fringed sandals to save the look. I still love those sandals, even if the Fug Girls disagree with me.
