While perusing the photos from Fashion Week's shows, I noticed two major trends that stretched across designer lines. First I noticed how most designers are continuing the belt trend. They are really cinching and emphasizing a woman's waist. If it's not a belt, then it's a high-waisted skirt with a blouse tucked in to create an hourglass shape. Which I love. We have curves! Let's showcase them! And let's do it in purple! Anyway notice how purple appears on all of the clothes from all of the designers pictured here?

I also noticed that blue eyeshadow and/or eye liner popped up a few times amidst the golds and coppers and purples. Pretty pastel blues framed the models' eyes and really made them pop. This trend is a harder one to follow bcause you have to make sure you apply the blue correctly so that you look chic instead of like an 80s prom queen. The best way I've found to do this is to invest in a quality liner brush. I actually use MAC's 208 brow brush because of it's angled shape. They have actual eyeliner brushes as well so you can go to a MAC consultant and they will tell you which brush is best for you. Then get quality pigmented shadows for a soft look. If you want to be bolder you can either wet your brush and still use the shadow for more definition or you can invest in a quality liner. Line your eyes boldly and then if you feel it is too harsh looking, soften the line with your liner brush by slightly smudging the look.
