Healthy skin is one of my indulgences. I only have this one face and I hope to keep it as vibrant as I can for as long as I can. I met a girl last year that was well over ten years my senior but looked my age, if not younger. I asked her secret and she said simply, "Sunscreen." Ok, but what kind of moisturizer did she use? One that has SPF in it? Neutrogena? Oil of Olay? No, she replied, just sunscreen. Everyday, rain or shine. Coppertone, Banana Boat, you get the idea. She uses sunscreen formulated for faces so that the oils don't clog her pores. Brillant! I decided to take up the the same regimen and have been using Coppertone's Oil Free Faces, SPF 30. The only flaw I found was that the suncreen made my make up not as likely to "stick." So I went ahead and bought a moisturizer with SPF (Neutrogena SPF 15) so that on heavier make up days I could switch to that.
Another indulgence of mine is Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. Now before you balk at the $38 price, consider this: It is the only cleanser I need. It removes dirt, grime and make-up - heavy eye makeup included. You only need a dime-size amount, literally, to fully cleanse. The smell of the wash is therapeutic, which makes washing your face something you look forward to instead of dread. And, in the past year of using it, I have only had to buy 3 tubes. As in, the tube lasts four months! My skin has never looked better. People tell me that I literally glow. I use less make-up because there are less blemishes to cover up and my skin just feels healthier. I have very dry skin and after washing with the soy wash I never feel my skin tighten, like with other cleansers that suck the moisture out. And the Soy Face Cleanser is formulated for all skin types! Seriously. This is an amazing product worth every penny.
