PRODUCT: Almay Smart Shade Blush
CLAIMS: To instantly transform into your perfect blush shade.
RESULTS?
MEAGAN: The liquid blush comes out white and does change color – just not when it’s on your skin. It immediately changes color as soon as it is out of the packaging. And once it’s on your cheeks, it doesn’t do much.
MELISSA: Absolutely. I was excited about this product after writing about a similar product by Smashbox for my blush blog – but I was totally disappointed. I really couldn’t notice any considerable difference once it was on my face, and the little color it did impart seemed to vanish in minutes.
PROS:
MEAGAN: Smart marketing. Liquid blush is natural looking.
MELISSA: Somewhat true to its claim, it did look different on me than it did on Meagan, yet I have to wonder how much of that is due to some “special formula” and how much is due to the fact that Meagan and I have different skin tones to begin with.
CONS:
MEAGAN: Smart Marketing. This might be too natural looking – I still looked pasty.
MELISSA: Didn’t duplicate the look of my body’s “natural blush” – or any blush, for that matter!
