LUSH

I've been hearing great things about Lush for quite some time now. Lush is very into offering cosmetics that are as environmentally sound and as natural as possible, and they make everything by hand! But the best part about Lush is the way they always have a totally unique and inventive take on typical beauty products.

Lush Bath BombThis, for instance, is the notorious Lush Bath Bomb, one of the crowning jewels of their collection, and the product that I've heard praised most effusively by fellow beauty junkies. You throw one of these in with your warm bath water, and it releases all sorts of color, fragrance and fizziness into the tub. In the case of the "Sex Bomb" shown here, you get a tub full of jasmine-scented pink water with rice paper rose petals floating throughout! Other Bath Bombs have glitter or confetti. These sound incredibly fun!

Lush Bubble BarHere's another bath option from Lush: The Bubble Bar, which they tout as the world's "first-ever solid bath foam." You simply crumble one under your bath water, and it dissolves into bubbles! This one is called "Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds" and is scented with patchouli and frankincense.

Lush Shower JellyFor shower aficionados, here is a truly unusual take on soap: The Shower Jelly! (Pictured here is "Whoosh," which is an invigorating citrus scent.) They're fragrant and jiggly, like Jell-O, and you can use them on your body or your hair, as a solid shampoo. Lush recommends storing your Jelly in the freezer, even though they never freeze solid. I can't even tell you how much this fascinates me! Lush really has a knack for creating products that I can't even wrap my head around, but I desperately want to try for myself.

Lush Baby Face CleanserEven their facial cleansers are creative! This is the "Baby Face" cleanser, which is a gentle formula for dry or sensitive skin. You dampen the bar, massage it into your skin, and wipe it off with a cloth - no rinsing. Apparently, this removes makeup and cleanses your skin without stripping it of its natural moisture. Plus, look at that cute little face!

Lush offers everything from lip balm to shampoo to henna, so you can even dye your hair naturally! Check them out; you won't be disappointed.
