I had the Today Show on this morning as I was getting ready to leave (this was when my heels were still intact - see post below) and Willard Scott was doing his "Happy Birthday to 100-year-olds" bit and I kid you not, he says, "Happy Birthday to So and So, who attributes her longevity to Ponds…(long pause)…Facial Cream." In the long-pause moment I thought he was talking about the body of water - like she must live near a pond. And then he added on the Facial Cream part, commented on how his mother used it for years, and I realized what Willard must have realized in the long pause: the lady misunderstood what they were asking. She must have thought they asked what she attributed her youthfulness to. Thought it was worth mentioning, since I just wrote about it yesterday. Can’t wait to slather on some tonight. Here’s to looking young at 100!
