I absolutely love perfume. I've read in magazines that the height of sophistication is choosing one "signature scent" and sticking with it for years, but I have to admit that I'm more of a dabbler. The top of my dresser is covered with different perfume bottles, and I have at least 5 or 6 different scents that I'm rotating through at any given time.
My all-time favorite scent was Angel by Thierry Mugler, but it was recently replaced by one of its own spin-off fragrances: Violette Angel!

I just love it. The sweet, flowery, almost edible scent of the violet mingles with the classic Angel base notes (patchouli, vanilla, chocolate) and the result is somehow feminine, spicy, creamy and unexpected all at once. If I had to choose one signature scent, this would be it!
I'm also addicted to Stella McCartney. I think it's a great scent for daytime: warm and understated, not overpowering. It's like the perfect rose perfume with an exotic, woodsy twist of amber. Another favorite is Calvin Klein's Euphoria. Whenever I wear this one, I can't stop sniffing my wrists for the rest of the day! It also has notes of amber and violet, so it's pretty without being too obvious, which is what I love in a perfume.
My #1 fragrance obsession, however, is anything by Anna Sui. Purely in terms of scent, my favorite is still her original perfume in the black and purple bottle, but I'm also fond of the limited edition Dolly Girl Ooh La Love from a few years back.

The bottle is just beautiful! I check Ms. Sui's beauty website all the time, crossing my figners that there will be a new scent for me to salivate over, and today my prayers have been answered!

Anna Sui's Flight of Fancy is her newest perfume, and wow! It looks gorgeous. (Any Anna fan will tell you that her incredible packaging design is a huge part of the appeal.) I have no idea what it smells like, but it's already at the top of my wishlist.
