It’s impossible not to notice that affordable designer fashion has been popping up in the most unlikely of places lately! I think it all started when Isaac Mizrahi began designing for Target. (Personally, I love his sunglasses! They’re always fun and super cheap.) Unfortunately, Mizrahi and Target are parting ways, but there are lots of other discount designer goodies to fill the void. For instance, Target has announced that the latest addition to their GO International line, which showcases exciting new designers from all over the world, will be the designing team of Carmen Hawk and supermodel-actress Milla Jovovich. The collection is already in stores, and there are lots of cute pieces, like this adorable chiffon babydoll dress with 3/4-length sleeves:

Such a great spring dress for only $39.99!

H&M is another affordable store that is constantly collaborating with designers, from Karl Lagerfeld to Stella McCartney to Viktor & Rolf - even Madonna! Vera Wang has exclusive line at Kohl’s department stores called "Simply Vera" that premiered last September. Even Payless Shoes is in on it! They just announced at Fashion Week in New York that they’ll be featuring footwear and handbag collections for Fall ‘08 by guest designers Laura Poretzky, Lela Rose and Stacy Bendet. The Fall collections will be in stores by August, and everything will be under $45.

I was just browsing around on the Payless website, and I just love these bold polkadot flats by alice + olivia, Stacy Bendet’s line:

They would be so great with skinny jeans and a simple top!

So keep an eye out! You never know where you might find great designer deals nowadays.
