If you have a taste for pretty, ornate, antique-looking things, I’ve got just the site for you: Victorian Trading Co., an online repository of beautiful items that look straight out of the 19th century, but are actually brand new. Here are a few of my favorite finds:

edwardian slippersThese low-heeled Edwardian slippers are an unusual take on the Mary Jane, with their pointed toes and soft, buttery leather. The best part? They’re made by Hush Puppies, which means they’re incredibly comfortable too!

romantic socksThese beautiful lace-up romantic ballerina socks are similar to Betsey Johnson’s lace-up socks, but these are even sexier because they lace all the way up to the knee.  Plus, at $7.95, they’re also more affordable than Betsey’s version.

owl pinThis gorgeous, slightly quirky owl pin is exactly the type of item you would dream of finding at a flea market, or in your grandmother’s house. Owls are still a popular motif, and this one is particularly lovely with its garnet eyes and tiny dangling pearls.

lip satinAlready a strong contender for my New Favorite Lip Balm, sight unseen, this Cornucopia Lip Satin not only looks luxuriously decadent in its pink and gold tin, it also contains a "sumptuous smile emollient" scented with black currant, pomegranate, plum, citrus, vanilla and mint-spice.

And, finally, the piece de resistance…this stunning, handbeaded, well-beyond-my-price range empire gown. I know it’s a rich shade of cocoa rather than the traditional white, but is anyone else thinking what I’m thinking? Slightly unconventional but really, really beautiful wedding dress, right?!

Please, someone, plan a fall wedding and get married in this dress! And send me pictures! Sigh.

Oh, and as if all this weren’t enough, I also adore their selection of whimsically spooky vintage Halloween decor. What are you waiting for? Check it out!
